6 Months

A linebacker in the making, Caleb weighs in at 19 lbs 12 oz and 27 inches at just 6 months! He's trying so hard to crawl. He spots something he wants a few feet away and just dives for it. He ends up doing a face plant into the carpet or landing on his hands and knees and then not being able to go anywhere. Either way, he's frustrated! I'm just trying to savor these last moments I have before he is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! As you can see, he gets to things that I don't think he can reach...that's my purse he's chewing on.
We started solids a few weeks ago. Caleb took to it like a fish to water...yumm...peas...
He has this goal he loves to play with (thanks Missy and Kevin) - unfortunately it usually ends up on top of him.
A rare, rare moment of weakness...never let them know you're tired!
Our pediatrician called Caleb a "party baby". Some of you know my struggles with this sweet, spirited boy who doesn't like to go to sleep for fear he'll miss something.

So far Caleb LOVES sports. He likes the Roughriders, and he especially loves going to football games! Seriously, you can hardly get him to pay attention to anything but what's going on on the field.
First bite of applesauce...
Second bite of applesauce...
Seriously, mom, this is not my deliriously tired face...

Squeals of Delight

Marc and Caleb had 5 hours together on Saturday, just the 2 of them. Apparently, they had a great time, and Marc is so proud of the new trick he taught Caleb!

5 Month Update

Our sweet boy just keeps getting bigger! At just 5 months, we've been asked several times if he's 8 or 9 months. Yesterday while checking-out at the store, a guy stopped me and proceeded to tell me just how big he thought Caleb's legs were. "They're so big...really big, and he must be strong. Look at him kicking...I mean they're HUGE"! His dad is proud.
We've started cloth diapering. We haven't fully made the switch, but it's amazing how much $ you can save, and it's really not that bad washing them etc.
Caleb is starting to sit up really well. You can tell he loves the new view!
I used to wear this Snoopy hat!
He loves his daddy.
Some sort of alien creature? No, it's just a teething pacifier.
This is what little boys do at 10:30 at night when they decide they don't want to go to sleep. He's always fought sleep, especially naps during the day. Usually that means he's fussy because he's so tired, but this night he just wanted to play! He's rolling all over the place. This was the first of many times he's wedged himself under the couch.
He loves his new exersaucer.
Such beautiful blue eyes.

Yummy Toes

Pretty gross, but funny. I can't keep him away from his toes!

He rolls over!

Growing, Growing, Growing!

So, I went to the doctor today for my four month check-up, and I've been doing some serious growing! I'm only 4 months old and I weigh 17lbs 5 oz and am almost 26 inches long! There's also lots of new things I can do!
I can roll over from my back to my tummy, and that makes me happy.

But then sometimes I can't get from my tummy onto my back again, and that makes me not so happy!
I started sleeping through the night a few weeks ago: 6 to 8 hour stretches at a time, several nights a week. That makes mom very happy.
I'm also reaching and grabbing for toys and anything else within my reach, especially mom's hair.
I really like my feet...
And I especially like to play with dad.
Mom really likes my sleep smiles...
...and my many expressions.
I have discovered I have a thumb....and I like to suck on it...
One of these days maybe I'll actually get to eat the blizzard rather than just play with the cup on a looong 6 hour drive to Amarillo!
