Marc and I both grew up camping, and some of our best childhood memories are from those trips. We were so excited to start making those memories with Caleb and Karis. We took our first official camping trip to Dinosaur Valley. Caleb is super obsessed with dinosaurs right now, so seeing the tracks and all the dinosaurs was perfect.
Setting up the tent
Isn't that so sweet? She's becoming quite the daddy's girl!
Seeing all the dinosaur models at Dinosaur World...was a big hit
Digging for fossils
Hot dogs - first meal cooked on the campfire
In the tent...not sleeping. We did very little of that! Definitely wise to only go for 1 night our first trip. Thunder. Lightning. 2 deliriously hyper children. You get the picture :)
Chilly morning - the kids loved getting to have another fire
Actual dinosaur track
A little hiking
Was a great trip!

Happy Halloween!
Caleb is very into dinosaurs right now, so a t-rex was the only way to go this year, and Karis said she wanted to be a fairy princess. I know I'm biased, but I think they're so stinkin' cute!

Pre-school
Caleb started pre-school a couple of weeks ago - pics from his 1st day. Disregard the ugly background...We were in a huge hurry so we wouldn't be late. I'm still trying to get the hang of getting everyone ready and out the door by 7:45. Good thing it's only 2 days a week!
It's almost impossible to get Caleb to pose for the camera, especially a normal smile. Bring on the silly faces!
What we've been up to this summer...

Caleb's 4th Bday...5 months later...
Caleb turned 4 in April and we celebrated with a Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme. All the kids had so much fun in bouncehouse and whacking the pinata.
I love this pic - Caleb gets shy when lots of people are watching him. My sweet boy. I can definitely empathize with him.
Caleb was so excited to see his Gramps!
Karis had a great time, too!
This was the toughest pinata I have ever seen. Not even the adults could bust it...until Marc pulled out the machete...literally.
